Lord Mayor Dr. Stephan Keller: &#8220;Today&#8217;s laying of the foundation stone is an important step for the entire development of the &#8216;Benrather Rochade&#8217;. In addition to the new school buildings with sports complex, we are also creating a senior care home and modern residential units on an area of around 30,000 square meters. The construction project is a showcase project in the south of D\u00fcsseldorf, with which we have succeeded in finding a solution for three different locations.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe new school buildings and sports hall will be erected as three connected structures. The Schlo\u00df-Gymnasium Benrath will have a gross floor area of 17,565 square meters, while the Realschule Benrath will have a gross floor area of 16,925 square meters. Completion is planned for the 2024\/2025 school year.
