Expansion of the Fatheuer building materials store in Hamm
New address, familiar quality
Fatheuer Baustoffe in Hamm, North Rhine-Westphalia, has a new address: Since summer 2020, sales and consulting have been running in the new building in Schmiedestraße. The offices and the specialist store on Küferstraße – also planned and realized by SHA in the 1990s – had become too small.
New connects to old
The company purchased an adjacent plot of land for the expansion. The new specialist store is therefore connected to the existing warehouses. It houses a hot warehouse and, in addition to the 520 m² showroom with plenty of space for sales and advice, modern administration and office space of around 110 m². A spacious seminar room is now available on the upper floor of the specialist store. From the gallery you have a good view of the sales area. A further cold store and a spacious loading zone for Fatheuer high/low/dry building materials have also been created.
This also eases the traffic situation: there is now considerably more space for trucks on the site, which no longer block the roads during deliveries thanks to the new traffic routing.
The outdoor storage area was also redesigned. Another new feature is an outdoor exhibition area of over 200 m², the so-called “Ideas Garden”. The previous offices and the specialist store were demolished after completion. Employee parking spaces are being created here.
Corporate design for the Metzger Group
In 2006, SHA developed a corporate design for METZGER Baustoffe: a modular system that can be implemented variably according to the respective conditions on the site. The new Fatheuer high/low/dry building materials specialist store is now an eye-catcher from afar. The red bracket of the warehouse frames the structure of the specialist store.
