Veloland Urban: New two-wheeler center in Backnang

Shopping experience and service concept

A new building for Veloland Urban has been constructed in Backnang. The new center, which has a sales area of almost 1,200 m², was built not far from the old location. There are also warehouses on three levels, service and workshop areas and social rooms for the employees of the managing director siblings Stefanie Urban-Häbich and Jochen Urban.

The SHA planning team has done a great deal of work to meet the increased requirements of a modern two-wheeler dealership. “The shopping experience and the service concept are becoming increasingly important. The space required for new products, but also for individual advice, has increased,” says Jasmin Rohpeter from the SHA planning team. An XL bracket above the inviting main entrance also ensures a harmonious appearance along the street from the outside.

Since spring 2021, regular and new customers have been able to browse through the specialist store’s huge selection at the new address. The future has also been considered: there are expansion areas to the south on the new site.

Good to know: Just like SHA, Zweiradcenter Urban is a family business steeped in tradition. The current store was also planned by SHA over 20 years ago – and this too under the leadership of team leader Volker Kaminsky, back then with the previous Urban generation. “It’s a great endorsement of our work when clients commission us again,” says the authorized signatory proudly.
