Hansa Theater Hörde: back at the old site

Reconstruction after ceiling fire

May 1, 2018 was a bad day for the Hansa-Theater-Dortmund in Hörde – after a fire in the ceiling area, large parts of the main auditorium were destroyed. Fortunately, no one was injured, but it was no longer possible to play. The Strothmüller family then found temporary replacement premises in Dortmund-Hombruch. Meanwhile, SHA set to work on Eckardtstrasse, planning and supervising the reconstruction of the theater – in close cooperation

with interior designer Ulrike Pappert, who developed the interior design. After completion of all construction work, the new season was able to start in the fall of 2019 at the familiar location.

Here you can see impressions of the renovated theater space.
