Advice on electromobility: SHA takes part
As part of the “Emission-free city center” funding project, the City of Dortmund supports craft businesses and service companies that are mobile in Dortmund’s city center as well as owners and operators of inner-city properties in the development and implementation of measures for sustainable mobility. In particular, the proportion of electromobility in companies is to be increased and charging infrastructure integrated into buildings.
First applicants have qualified for consultations
In a public application process, the first companies and property owners were selected to receive free electromobility advice to help them make their companies and properties fit for the future and electromobility. SHA Scheffler Helbich Architekten GmbH is involved with the district parking garage, which is located directly next to the PhoenixWERK office ensemble: “With the district parking garage, we want to offer our customers, tenants, our team and the leisure public at Phoenix West a well thought-out concept that takes into account the many aspects of the wide-ranging topic of ‘mobility’. That is why we are looking forward to receiving advice on environmentally friendly and forward-looking forms of mobility from the City of Dortmund,” says Christoph Helbich, Managing Partner of SHA. The parking garage will be completed in spring 2021 and will initially have 155 parking spaces. The number can be increased later.
The following companies have also successfully applied for advice on electromobility: Die AboKiste – Werkhof Service GmbH, Dortmund District Court, ased – Ambulanter Pflegedienst Gabriele Doepner OHG, Cabdo GmbH, Fidelio Bau GmbH, Green IT – Das Systemhaus GmbH, Diakonische Pflege Dortmund gGmbH, Home Instead Seniorenbetreuung – HISB
Betreuungsdienst Dortmund-Nord GmbH, Katholische St.-Johannes-Gesellschaft Dortmund gGmbH with Johannes-Hospital, Rolland Mawson Küchendesign, Studierendenwerk Dortmund AöR as a company and for a residential complex on Emil-Figge-Straße and the Uwe Walter Group.
In a virtual kick-off and information event, the participants were provided with information on the topic of electromobility: from drive types of electric vehicles to possible cost and emission savings through electromobility. In addition, the companies used the first opportunities to network and exchange experiences with each other.
Awarded with Green Mobility and Fit for e-Mobility
Individual consultations tailored to individual companies and property owners are currently underway. In two consultation appointments, the initial situation, goals and opportunities of the company are taken into account and analyzed, and tailored action plans are developed on this basis.
The implementation of the measures is in the hands of the companies. They receive organizational support from the consultants B.A.U.M Consult GmbH and EcoLibro GmbH and the City of Dortmund. Companies that have successfully implemented or are implementing measures to promote electromobility are awarded the “Green Mobility” label by the City of Dortmund for trade and service companies and “Fit for eMobility” for real estate. A selection committee made up of representatives from the City of Dortmund, the Dortmund Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Chamber of Crafts checks the eligibility of the businesses and properties and awards the labels.
16 Measures for climate-friendly mobility behavior
The promotion of electromobility among tradespeople and service providers as well as in real estate is one of 16 measures of the EU funding project “Emission-free city center”. The European Union and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia are supporting the project from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
