The new "Radwelt Harsefeld" is open
The future of the two-wheeler trade
The construction is finished, the move is complete – the new Radwelt Harsefeld has opened and offers its customers in the Lower Saxony municipality a very special two-wheeler shopping experience. The modern new building on the Rümelswiese, planned by SHA Scheffler Helbich Architekten, has a sales area of approx. 1000 m², workshop and administration areas of approx. 220 m² each and a storage area on three levels totaling approx. 2000 m². There is also the option of extending this space with an extension to the east. So the future is already being considered.
Look back
The previous business, the former “Zweiradhandel Tobaben”, which had been in existence for over four decades, had a sales area of approx. 280 m², workshop and administration space totaling approx. 50 m² and a directly adjacent warehouse of only approx. 50 m² in Schulstraße in the heart of Harsefeld. The limited conditions and the increased demand made it impossible to continue the business economically, so the owners Karin and Hauke Krusewitz decided to build a new building.
Planning by SHA
With the planning by SHA Scheffler Helbich Architekten – we have been advising bicycle dealers throughout Germany for over 20 years – an efficient world around the two-wheeler has now been created that is specially designed to meet the needs of customers and clients. For example, the areas of assembly of new bikes and repairs and maintenance are separated from each other so that work processes can be optimally structured. With the new space, the product range has been considerably expanded and the presentation of the bikes has become much more appealing.
A toast was raised yesterday evening with everyone involved in the construction. Tours through all departments and business areas at the informal reception gave all interested parties an understanding of the work processes in sales, repair acceptance, workshop and warehouse. Mr. and Mrs. Krusewitz thanked their employees in particular. Not only the sales and administration areas, but also the team has grown significantly with the new building.
The future of the two-wheeler trade
Christoph Helbich, SHA Managing Director, congratulated: “With your decision, you have made your two-wheeler dealership fit for the coming years. At the same time, you have also considered expansion options for the future. Your employees and customers, who you advise every day, will thank you for it.” Julia Manneck and Jonas Schwarzenhölzer, responsible for project and construction management, add: “The demands on the bicycle trade have changed enormously in recent years due to the boom in e-bikes alone. Space requirements have increased. The shopping experience and the service concept are also becoming more and more important.”
With the ceremonial handover of the keys, the entire team from SHA wishes all the best for the opening and the future of “Radwelt Harsefeld” and thanks everyone involved for the excellent cooperation.
