Grammar school on the Hönne
Extension building in Menden
The SHA team was involved in the implementation planning and subsequent service phases of the extension to the Gymnasium an der Hönne in Menden. The newly constructed three-storey part of the building adjoins the existing sports hall and will be used by pupils in years 5 to 7 from now on. In addition to modern classrooms and IT rooms, rooms for art and science lessons were also created.
The extension also has a reading café and a multifunctional auditorium. A mobile stage in the auditorium and a window front that can be opened make it possible to move events to the newly designed schoolyard area. The extension to the Gymnasium an der Hönne was completed in 2022. The school building, including the extension, now has space for a total of 1,200 pupils.
