A lively center

The new construction of the district and education center and the arrangement of all important uses on the new citizens’ terrace will create a lively new center for the Wichlinghofen district of the Ruhr metropolis of Dortmund.

The buildings open up with interlocking sequences of squares and rooms, creating a network of diverse meeting spaces and visual relationships.

Based on the existing favorable location, the “inner periphery” of the district, the proposed interventions will create a place with a formative identity for education, sports and community experiences.
