Building greening offers great potential
Green roofs and façades make an important ecological contribution by, among other things, strengthening plant and animal biodiversity, absorbing pollutants from the environment and providing air conditioning for buildings and the surrounding streets. In addition, they also shape the appearance of the building, so that a natural external appearance can be achieved with the help of greenery.
From now on, the diverse potential of building greening can be exploited even more profoundly in our planning, as our team can now draw on the expertise of two team members.
Certified specialist consultants in the SHA team
After passing their exams, Katrin Saussen (left) and Madlen Lauersdorf (right) received their certificates from the Bundesverband GebäudeGrün e.V. (BuGG) as certified consultants for roof and façade greening. Both successfully completed their training in a seminar lasting several days, so that our entire team can benefit from the expertise gained by the two team members in the planning of building greening in future construction projects.
From then on, the two team members will advise our clients on the right choice of plants for the location, professional construction and sealing measures as well as irrigation and fire protection precautions.
Various building greening measures are already being integrated into the building planning for our projects. For example, the “Mobilityspeicher” district garage being built in Dortmund’s Hafenquartier will have a green façade covering the entire area:
